Facebook Rolls Out New Experimental Video Features

By Jillean Kearney on October 14, 2015

Facebook is rolling out experimental video features, including a new feed just for videos and a picture-in-picture player.

These new features are meant to give users more flexibility to multi-task while watching videos, and easy ways to discover new content.

A new "suggested videos" feature automatically provides users with related videos to watch. Videos can also be "saved" for revisiting later.

The picture-in-picture players allows users to continue to watch videos as they scroll through their news feeds.

These updates signal the Social Network's growing emphasis on video as users are currently watching over 3 billion videos each day on Facebook.
