Google has, for the first time ever, released its Search Quality Raters guidelines and handbook. In total, there are 160 PDF-pages of brand new SEO insights and knowledge about how the search engine's raters ranks content quality.
Mimi Underwood, from Google, stated that “ratings from evaluators do not determine individual site rankings, but are used help us understand our experiments.”
“The evaluators base their ratings on guidelines we give them; the guidelines reflect what Google thinks search users want,” Underwood added.
Google is expected to keep the document publically available and updated as they evolve their search product and algorithms.Add a Comment | Back to Top
