Google made changes to its core ranking algorithm over the weekend.
The updates come just a week after Google made Panda a part of its core ranking algorithm.
Earlier this morning, Google's Gary Illyes tweeted that any fluctuations in search traffic/insights noticed over the weekend were a result of core algorithm changes as opposed to Google's Penguin update (the update that targets spammy links).
A Penguin update is expected to happen early this year, which is why many webmasters thought the weekend's fluctuations in search traffic/insights were a result of Penguin.Add a Comment | Back to Top
