It takes a long time and a lot of work to recover your SEO after being hit by a manual penalty or a big algorithm update.

The same can be said in catching up to your competitors, and ultimately surpassing them in search engine result rankings.

It can be frustrating for site owners and marketing teams to not see immediate results after making big changes to improve SEO. As the person responsible for a brand's SEO initiatives, it can be difficult to explain why SEO success doesn't happen over night.
