Joe Fresh Proves that Content & Commerce Belong Together

Earlier this year in June, Joe Fresh (a Canadian apparel brand) redesigned its blog to much success.

The brand wanted to create a more robust and sophisticated content platform than the Tumblr feed that it had been using.

Joe Fresh also wanted to marry content and commerce in a seamless and user-friendly way.

Now, the redesigned Joe Fresh blog is shoppable.

Every photo on the blog includes a "shop the look" link that takes customers to the product page where items can be purchased.

Rony Zeidan of Ro York, the agency that led the blog's redesign told Digiday, "If you see something you want to buy on a retail blog, it should be right there. If you can't find it, you've wasted time. It's a no-brainer. People can identify these items in a split second, which is good because attention spans are very short."

In just two months, the Joe Fresh blog and its "shop-now" functionality has significantly boosted traffic, engagement and sales. For example, a skirt sported by actress Jamie Chung in a blog Q&A article was totally sold out within a week.
