HubSpot did some research into how much time writing a typical blog post should take away from a marketer's schedule.
The brand used blogging data from its own State of Inbound 2015 report, which is made up of research gathered from 4,000 marketers and salespeople internationally. Each marketer was asked how long it takes to write a typical 500-word blog post.
HubSpot found that the answer differs across regions, but the average blog post-writing time is 1-2 hours. In Asia-Pacific, for example, 27% of marketers spend 1-2 on a typical blog post, while 26% spend at least 4 hours on one post
From HubSpot: "Does that mean 1-2 hours is the "right" amount of time to spend on a blog post? The question of how long should be as long as they need to be to serve their purpose - whether that's thought leadership, driving leads, explaining a new concept, etc. Some quick posts could take under an hour to write; others might take several hours if they require you to go really in-depth."Add a Comment | Back to Top
