But there are some tricks to make a blog post's popularity live on longer than those initial few days.

HubSpot listed out 10 techniques that can extend the shelf life of content over longer periods of time. One of HubSpot's techniques is to plan an outreach strategy beyond the usual posts to social networks and search engine optimization that will maybe, hopefully get your content in front of the right people.

Instead, plan to reach the readers you know like your content. Use BuzzSumo to pinpoint influencers that have tweeted out related content and tweet them your own content. If they share your content, you'll like gain new visitors (that will likely turn into repeat visitors if they like what you have to offer).
