Why Marketers are Deleting their Business Facebook Pages

Recently, a handful of marketers have made the decision to get rid of their Business Facebook Pages.

See Copyblogger as an example.

So what's driving this exodus?

KISSmetrics laid out a list of reasons as to why marketers are ditching the social network for their brands.

Reasons include:

  • Facebook steals away traffic from a company's website.

  • Facebook holds far too much control over content and marketing.

  • Facebook can be an unprofessional place for more sophisticated businesses.

  • Facebook’s Terms of Service are not business-friendly.

  • The average Facebook user ignores sponsored content.
