Last year, comScore released a report stating that mobile devices were driving Internet activity, and that apps were beating out the mobile web in terms of usage.
According to the report, 88 percent of smartphone activity was being spent on apps.
New IAB stats are now suggesting that the mobile web isn't doing too poorly.
A survey found that only 18 percent of smartphone users favor apps, and more than 50 percent admit to clicking on links within apps that take them to a browser.
