Online Tools that Help Improve a Website's Readability

By Jillean Kearney on May 29, 2015

Six Revisions posted a list of tools that can help improve a website's readability, the ease of which a user can consume content.

Readability, a big aspect of user-experience, is built upon two components: writing style and typography.

The Readability Test Tool, for example, processes and checks a webpage's writing using established formulas like Flesch Kincaid Reading Ease.

Another tool, Contrast Ratio, calculates the contrast ratios of two colors (typography and background) to score whether they'll provide a user-friendly reader experience.
