Search Console Introduces New Analytics Report for App Install Button Data

By Jillean Kearney on December 22, 2015

This week, Google announced (via Google+) that a brand new feature is now available for app developers within Search Console.

A relatively new feature to Google search results pages are apps and an "Install App" button.

Now, Search Console users have access to a new Search Analytics report that displays how many times that app install button was clicked on from a search results page.

The tool also allows users segment app install data by keyword, location and a few other filter.

At this time, metrics regarding whether a download was completed are unavailable.
