Avoid These Mistakes for a Smooth Transition to a New CMS

CMS Wire listed the 11 mistakes that cause the implementation of a new content management system to go belly up. 

One mistake that will set the tone for a less-than-smooth transition is choosing a CMS just because it's the most popular one on the market.

Every company has its own specific platform needs, and popularity doesn't necessarily mean that a CMS can accommodate all requirements.

"Nothing substitutes for doing your own research, including commissioning a proof of concept with test implementations of your most important features," Boris Kraft wrote.
