What is "Brand Activation" and Why is it Important?

"Brand activation" is a new buzzy term within the marketing industry – but what does it mean? "Brand activation" is, simply, the process of introducing and making your brand known to people. It refers to increasing awareness via engagement and by creating/delivering a brand experience.

Brand activation is particularly important for brand new businesses, but it also applies to older business going through a rebrand.

It sounds the same as brand marketing, right?

From Econsultancy: "Sort of, yes. Except it specifically refers to the process of getting your brand from one state to another, better, state. Whereas brand marketing is the all-encompassing ongoing process of promoting and maintaining your company’s brand."
